Is it legal to burn down your own mobile home instead of having it removed?

i’m going to say no because that is intentionally setting fire to something and is dangerous. not to mention bad for the planet.

Arson is never legal…even if you own the burnout.

Most likely not, in most municipalities there are laws against that.

I would say no, first if it has an insured value and they end up placing a claim it’s fraud; secondly, if the city/county was not notified or approved of the planned fire it’s probably a civil violation as well. They like to be there to control the situation and not have to dispatch after the fact.

I doubt if it is legal. Have your cousin Guido do it, then you can collect the insurance.

i lived in indiana for 3 years, was amazed at the laws they did not have that have been around forever in other areas of the US.
I’d call the local police dept, and fire dept…. from a pay phone!
Ask town hall……. pay phone call again.
I know the area i lived in houses, barns, sheds, garages were always burned down instead of knocked down.
Weird state.
good luck with whatever you do and remember, even if you burn it, you still gotta clean it up.. and a burnt moblie is harder to clean up then one not burnt.

Hi;I live in Canada it is illegal to burn anything without a permit Let alone your home. No insurance company will payout. Is this neighbour for real?

i would call the fire dept and ask if they would like to use it in one of the training courses .. or u could put a sign out free trailer
