Vehicles driven on the road must be registered according to the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code, 75 C. P. S. § 1301. There are some vehicles that are exempt from registration, and they are listed in §1302 (this section has a long list of types of vehicles that are exempt from registration, and go karts are not on hte list.)

No, your kid can’t drive a go kart on the road.

A go kart is not equipped to be operated on a highway, nor is it licensed or have paid road use taxes. Some of the required equipment are: a windshield, wipers, brake lights, turn signals, seat belts just to name a few.

It would be illegal …. a go kart would not be a street legal vehicle in Pennsylvania ….. nor would he be licensed … and you wouldn’t want him to be. I believe you would only be able to use a gokart on private property.

It is only legal if you are driving it on your own private property.
But, you could ask some of your neighbors if it is ok with them if you drive around.

NO - it is NOT legal to drive on the road with a go Kart or ATV. Those are for backyards and NOT roads.

yes, unless you get tags for it and have it registered.
