No only is it illegal, but it is a safety hazard for everyone else on the road. Not only are your directions reversed when you’re going backwards but you will be distracting everyone else on the road as to your reckless behavior. Call a Tow truck and pay the tow truck driver what it would cost you for the ticket that you would receive. Not to mention the fact that the cop can impound your car and see to it that your license is revoked. A tow driver does not have this kind of power.
