In the state of Texas (May differ slightly from state to state)
Texas Penal Code states in 37.09
an offense under subsection(2) is a class A misdemeanor
(2) observes a human corpse under circumstances in which a reasonable person would believe that an offense had been committed, knows or reasonably should know that a law enforcement agency is not aware of the existence of or location of the corpse, and fails to report the existence of and location of the corpse to law enforcement agency.

if there was foul play leading to the death in question, and you don't report that you found a body, you could conceivably be charged as an accomplice

I'm assuming it would vary from state to state.

One example is in Missouri, where the charge is a Class D felony: abandoning a corpse, Section 194.425.1, RSMo 2000.

a person commits the crime of abandonment of a corpse if that person abandons, disposes, deserts or leaves a corpse without properly reporting the location of the body to the proper law enforcement officials in that county.

Common decency and the Christian ethic. Why wouldn't one report it? CSI wants to do a special!

There isn't one specifically for reporting in any jurisdiction I've ever worked. If you're a witness to a crime you would be violating the law in every state by not coming forward, but simply seeing a corpse and walking away without picking up the phone is not illegal. Immoral, but not illegal.
